Fussy Deodorant

Beta helped Fussy with their product journey from Kickstarter through to the manufacturing stage, to get the product into consumers hands.

During Fussy’s Kickstarter we created CGI renders, image collateral and implemented stretch goal designs to boost their funding. We spent 4 months engineering, testing and iterating internal mechanisms, refill construction and size, and adding design features to add to the user experience. This design for manufacture was constantly fed back to the factory until we arrived at the product as it is today. We undertook user testing and implemented these changes to ensure the product worked correctly along with assisting Fussy spec material and surface finish to perfect their T0, T1 samples.

Engineering

Beta spent 4 months engineering the internal mechanism to be fit for manufacture. We worked with fussy’s manufacturing partner to produce design for manufacture (DFM) ready CAD. We undertook user testing and refill testing to maximise capacity and creating internal mechanisms that were robust and would stand the test of time. We chose materials that were recycled ABS that were appropriate for bathroom environments and also were inline with fussy’s sustainable brand messaging.
