Barkitecture returns for 2024, with a new theme ‘Travelling in Style’. After the success of last year’s Bowowhaus, we have been invited back and joined forces with Sebastian Conran to create Moon Carrier, revolutionising pet travel with a blend of cutting-edge design, comfort, and style.
Akin to a space pod meeting a futuristic electric motorcycle, the Moon Carrier redefines the way we transport and care for our four-legged companions.
Now in its third year, dogs and visitors alike are primed for the return of Goodwoof 2024. Curated by Kevin McCloud MBE and The Duke of Richmond, Barkitecture will return with an array of unique kennel designs for dogs to travel in style and comfort.
Crafted with a thoughtful consideration for both pets and their owners, the Moon Carrier seamlessly integrates futuristic EV aesthetics with luxury tactility.
The Moon Carrier has been created with three states in mind: fully open for use at home, 'cabriolet' style for sunny weather riding, and an enclosed state for rainy trips on your motorcycle.
The aluminium frame and panelling provide a rigid monocoque, around which, Alcantara upholstered cushioning creates a luxurious and comfortable environment for your dog. The Ripstop nylon roof is retractable and holds its shape utilising stainless steel tensioning rods and quick release latches.m the racing roll cage manufacturer. This iterative process ensured optimal proportions, ergonomics, and structural integrity for the end product.
In partnership with BMW Motorrad, Moon Carrier was designed to be secured at the rear of the new CE04 EV motorcycle, seamlessly integrating into the curvature of its pillion seat.
The bead blasted & clear anodised aluminium monocoque was carefully crafted by our fabrication partners, Get It Made. The London based manufacturer specialises in CNC machining, 3D printing, injection moulding, custom extrusions, and die-casting, ensuring high-quality, precision-crafted parts.
